ABOUT LIVE WOOD TIMBER FRAMES

Live Wood Timber Frames is owned and operated by Keith Rockett in New Glarus, WI. Since our company opened its doors in 2011, we've treated every customer like they were a part of our family.
Keith is a 2005 graduate of MATC's Cabinetry and Mill-work program and was introduced to timber framing in 2006 through an internship. It didn't take long for him to realize he had found his passion and true calling. Keith continued his professional development by learning from other timberframers traveling from Mississippi following Hurricane Katrina to North Dakota, Illinois, Missouri, Wyoming, and Montana working on different timber frame projects. He has gained useful knowledge and skills from each of these timberframers which he carries with him today. Keith is a member of the Timber Framers Guild and continues education by taking timber framing classes and workshops offered within the Guild. Keith is also an active member of the Wisconsin Builders Association, Wisconsin Historical Society, and the Aldo Leopold Foundation.

Live Wood Timber Frames works together with builders, engineers, timber suppliers and also directly with clients who want timber elements added to their home or property. In addition to the natural beauty, timber frame structures offer durability, sustainability, and efficiency. Timberframing is a very old, proven construction method used for hundreds of years. Many of these structures are still standing today. Timber frames are traditionally constructed by cutting mortise and tenon joinery and held together by wooden pegs, which is why they have such high quality and strength. Typically, timber frames provide efficiency with a tight seal method of these structures. We love to share our knowledge and passion for timberframing and all that it has to offer. We can accommodate to meet your needs whether they are big or small.
